Already announced for Splendour In The Grass 2017, charismatic songstress BANKS announces three special sideshows.
Supporting her newest album ‘The Altar’, Banks will kick off her tour at Perth’s Astor Theatre, July 18 before appearing at the sold out Byron Bay festival July 21, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre July 23 and finishing at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre July 25.
From teaching herself piano aged 15 to cope with her parents divorce, to being named by Hypemachine as the world’s most blogged about artist in 2014, Jillian Banks ascent to indie-pop queen was steep.
Her first EP ‘London’ released in 2013 promptly landed her a support slot on the Weeknd tour. The buzz continued with appearances on BBC’s prestigious Sound of 2014 guide and nearly every ‘One To Watch’ list since. In 2015 Banks was a highlight of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and her Australian headline shows were likened to a religious experience.
Don’t miss Banks triumphant return to Australian stages this July.
