“The world of showbusiness is full of wonder and surprises and I have had the thrill of introducing undiscovered and talented performers such as Tina Arena and Dannii Minogue and so many others throughout my career.  Then I heard Australia’s singing sensation Narelle Belle singing a Karen Carpenter song as it was sung by Karen originally and I was filled with a similar thrill, prompting me to showcase her extraordinary talents.

And so An Evening with Karen Carpenter was born – a wonderful evening filled with all the Carpenter songs that are close to you and the stories of the adventures of Karen and Richard Carpenter with the music that I am proud to present,” said Johnny Young.
